In the game, there are many characters from the familiar Mario game series to characters from other places to select. But no matter how different, they all have one thing in common they are all true riders. The characters that the game offers for players to choose from are Wiggler, Honey Queen, Lakitu and Metal Mario, and many others. Like the previous games, the characters in the game will be divided into three different weight classes for players to choose from. Each has an impact on the racing style of each character for the player to use. So before you start the race, think carefully to make the best choice. On the track, there are many different items to be able to support the player while racing. They all have different effects to create position changes in the race. Players can get random items by touching mysterious boxes placed at a fixed number of positions on the track. Players will randomly receive something like dropping a series of Koopa shells to make an opponent crash. Or release mushrooms that can explode and blow enemies away from the track.
The noticeable difference of this game is the car customization mechanism to bring the unique to the players. In many previous games, this did not exist, and players could only choose the default cars to race.
